2012 Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended Wheelbase

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars unveiled its new Ghost Extended Wheelbase model for the first time at the 14th Auto Shanghai Motor Show on Tuesday, 19 April 2011.

The ultra-luxury saloon, the sixth new model from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, caters for customers who require increased space and comfort without sacrificing Ghost’s unique balance of dynamism and poise.

The award-winning, four-seater Rolls-Royce Ghost has seen outstanding demand since its worldwide launch in 2009. Designed as a vision of simplicity, it is a Rolls-Royce that drives and rides in peerless fashion. Rolls-Royce Ghost Extended Wheelbase takes this principle further, designed as a car to drive or in which to be chauffeured. It will be built to order and is available in only limited numbers for 2011 until full production begins in 2012.

Ghost’s ample interior space is further enhanced in the Extended Wheelbase variant by the addition of 170mm to the car’s wheelbase, but with no detriment to the model’s balanced proportions and stunning contemporary design. Legroom is significantly enhanced with knee-room more than doubled compared to the standard Ghost.

Increased cabin space in the rear passenger compartment and a panoramic sunroof sets new standards for interior ambience and light. Effortless entry and exit for passengers further reinforces Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ pinnacle position in the ultra-luxury segment.

Nice Car's: The all-new 2013 Chevrolet Malibu

The all-new 2013 Chevrolet Malibu made its global debut with simultaneous introductions in the United States and China. Chevrolet’s first global midsize sedan will provide customers from Shanghai to New York and Sydney to Sao Paulo with expressive design, advanced technologies, ride performance and fuel-efficient powertrains.

A wider stance, broad shoulders and an integrated rear spoiler bring a new athleticism to Malibu and give it a more aggressive appearance. The new Chevrolet Malibu has a 4.5-inch (114 mm) shorter wheelbase and 62-inch (1,574 mm) front and rear tracks that are more than 2 inches (51 mm) wider than the model it replaces.

Other exterior design cues include Chevrolet’s dual-port grille, projector HID headlamps, larger Chevrolet bow-tie badges front and rear, and new Camaro-inspired LED dual-element taillamps. The look is complemented by a range of large 17-, 18- and 19-inch wheels.

The new Chevrolet Malibu exterior is anticipated to be SAE-certified as one of the most aerodynamically efficient cars in the segment, with a coefficient of drag (Cd) rating near Chevrolet Volt’s Cd of .280. Because of Malibu’s new shape and design, engineers were able to remove 60 counts of wind drag compared to the model it replaces.
The new Chevrolet Malibu comes in LS, LT and LTZ trim levels, with 10 exterior colors and four interior color combination choices in North America, depending on the model. Malibu production in the United States begins in early 2012. It will be built in multiple locations around the globe, including the Fairfax, Kan. and Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plants in the United States. Pricing will be announced later this year.

The new engine in the 2011 Mercedes-Benz CL550 4MATIC is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission which has undergone significant revision, while V12 models retain the proven five-speed automatic transmission due to their extremely high torque at low engine speeds. The DIRECT-SELECT lever on the steering column enables the driver to select “P”, “N”, “R” and “D” by nudging the selector. The operating commands are transferred electronically by wire. A new hydraulic circuit and optimized torque converter characteristics also help to improve efficiency and performance. A further consumption-cutting measure is a new lower-viscosity automatic transmission fluid (ATF), which has a longer life yet the same cooling performance. As a result, the 2011 Mercedes-Benz CL550 4MATIC only needs a transmission fluid change every 78,000 miles.

Nice Cars: 2011 Anderson Germany Ferrari 458 Italia Black Carbon Edition

The Anderson Germany released the carbon exterior package for Ferrari 458 Italia called Ferrari 458 Black Edition. The carbon exterior package for Ferrari 458, consisting of wings in the front apron, a rear diffuser and wing mirrors as well as engine covers (invisible). Among other remarkable things are the exclusive, in-house 21-inch carbon rims painted in body color with 245 tires at the front axle and 345 – at the rear. Nice Cars: 2011 Wimmer Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG

The 2011 Wimmer Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Performance. When it comes to progressive vehicle development, the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG from Munich could gain the victory over its competitors. Even in the serial configuration, this car allows the “chauffeur” to experience unusual feelings and makes the driver both a connoisseur and a winner. WIMMER Rennsporttechnik from Solingen has personified the driving fun once again – as it should be after the company name addition – breathing even more performance. Modification of the V8 Motor with standard 6.3-liter engine includes above all things sports camshaft and the cylinder head reworked. Manifold, down pipe and high flow catalytic converters are the next stages. After optimization of the air intake, installation of a stainless steel exhaust system and a sport air filter adaptation by WIMMER-Motorelektronik goes without saying. The result of all these measures is powerful 601 hp and 720 Nm of torque – a by no means despised value. The total result is ultimately power to weight ratio of 2.79 kg / hp. As a result, in comparison with the approved Vmax of 306 km/h, the “unlocked” Vmax value can now reach 329 km/h. The engine conversion by WIMMER costs 19900 Euro.
